Ariana Grande: Petite Fashion Icon.

Standing at just 5 feet tall, Ariana Grande definitely fits in to the petite category. While her hair seems to generally stay the same, half up/ half down with big waves, her fashion wardrobe continuously changes. From glamorous red carpet looks to performance outfits and days spent at the airport, Grande is able to try different styles that always compliment her little body. Here are a few of her looks that showcase her ability to stay trendy and still rock her petite figure.

Co cords, the matching top and bottom set, were a must have the past couple summers, and Ariana Grande was ahead of the trend back in 2012. Even while wearing gym shoes with no heels, the skater skirt sits substantially above her knees and allows her legs to look long and not stumpy. Her peek of midriff showing and the top’s long straps also create an illusion of a longer torso. This throwback outfit is girly, bright, and flattering for her height.

Looking at Grande in this dress I would have never guessed she is just 5 feet tall. First, the red sequin dress flows all the way to the ground, covering up her heels and adding a few inches while not letting people see the boost. What really helps make her look lengthier is the small clutch. Often times big bags can drown out a petite women and Ariana’s tiny purse creates a better proportion for her size (if you are petite and plus size try a medium size purse).

High waisted jeans and a bralette for the win in this piece worn by Ariana Grande at A Very Grammy Christmas rehearsal in Nov. 2014. The jeans go above her bellybutton and extend her legs to make them look miles long. By wearing the bralette, a large portion of her midriff shows so her torso doesn’t look short. Casual and cute, the lace adds a feminine touch to a simple outfit.
