Tyson Fury was warned by Frazer Clarke not to underestimate Francis Ngannou

WBC world champion Tyson Fury has booked his return for this year, opting for a non-title bout with former UFC star Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia this fall. Many fans believe that this will just be a walkabout for Tyson Fury, however, the puncher who has faced both Fury and Ngannou has other thoughts.

Olympic silver medalist, famous boxer Frazer Clarke recently gave a warning to Tyson Fury in an interview that the WBC heavyweight champion needs to be really careful when facing the “Nigerian Nightmare”, Francis Ngannou, who Frazer believes has fists strong enough to cost Tyson Fury his career.

“Fury is a powerful puncher and possesses a huge ego, he forced the world’s largest boxing governing bodies to accept his unreasonable demands.” Clarke said.

“He does what he wants and that’s the reality. He made a lot of money and stole the limelight every time he appeared.” Clarke continued.

“But recently, boxing fans have seen through him. Anyway, I wish Tyson luck and hope he doesn’t let Ngannou hit him on the chin and knock him out. If what I say really happens, it will definitely be a disaster for the champion.”

Frazer Clarke’s warning is somewhat reasonable if you look at the recent fights of the WBC heavyweight champion. Since winning his third victory over boxer Derek Chisora last December, Tyson Fury has never stepped into the ring again.

Fans were excited for the heavyweight championship unification fight between him and reigning IBF, WBO and WBA champion Oleksandr Usyk. However, as we know, lengthy negotiations and somewhat unreasonable demands for profit sharing caused the heavyweight’s confrontation of the century to go up in smoke; and now, Tyson Fury will return in a confrontation that seemed like it would never happen with Francis Ngannou.
