She can be seen in a backless silk gown that reveals her inkings bathed in natural light as she gazes out of the window.

While on a break from filming First They Killed My Father in Cambodia, Angelina spent time with her family in Thailand where former monk Ajarn Noo Kanpai inked three intricate tattoos onto her back.

The Sak yant tattoos were added to her skin using a series of steel rods mounted with a surgical steel needle – a painful process that is said to be more accurate than a modern day tattoo gun.

Speaking about her love of tattoos previously, she said: “I love them. They’re body art.

“I don’t think it’s abnormal that someone who spends their life in other skins wants to claim their own by marking things on it that matter to them.”

Last month Angelina’s ex Brad Pitt won a major breakthrough in their messy divorce after she let him spend the summer with their six children while she works on a film.

The former couple, who have Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne together, have been at war since they split in September 2016 — with most arguments being over the custody of their sizeable brood.

It is the longest amount of time he’ll have spent with them since their messy break up.

A source said: “Angelina is going to be spending a lot of the summer filming Those Who Wish Me Dead, so she reached out to Brad and offered him the chance to look after the children. This is a massive step for them and the children, who have only had limited time with Brad since the break-up.

“It feels like a really positive move all round and Brad is over the moon.

“He’s invited his parents, Jane and William, to stay with them at his mansion in LA so they can have some proper family time together.”

Angelina’s olive branch comes just weeks after I revealed Brad had issued her with an ultimatum over their divorce.

The Hollywood actress had been accused of stalling the process in a bid to win Brad back. But he made it clear he wanted to move on and asked his lawyers to get a judge to impose a date on her.

The pair met while filming Mr And Mrs Smith in 2004 and married in August 2014.
