Chelsea could still have the chance to sign one of their targets from the last summer transfer window.
Brentford agreed a £25m deal with Club Brugge for Antonio Nusa in January, as reported by Sky Sports. However, it ended up collapsing.
The Bees reviving their interest in Nusa looks unlikely, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claiming on Substack that he cannot see it happening and that the race for the winger is open again.
“I’m told this is not something concrete. For other clubs, race is completely open,” the Italian journalist said.
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea had a £23m bid for Nusa rejected last year.

Chelsea still have opportunity to sign Antonio Nusa
After Nusa’s failed move to Brentford, Chelsea still have the chance to bring the 18-year-old to Stamford Bridge if they want to.
Looking at their squad, though, we have doubts about the Blues resurrecting their own interest in the Norwegian winger.
They spent a lot of money on two other young wide players in Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke and will probably prioritise their time and effort on developing those two.
However, it has been claimed that the former could actually go out on loan next season. Perhaps that could open up a move to Chelsea for Nusa.
Mudryk has found life at Stamford Bridge difficult and has not started a Premier League game since December.
When Chelsea look at some of the struggles of some of their recent young signings, they may decide that Nusa is not what the club need right now.
Fans may also feel the same as they continue to watch their inexperienced team fail to get the job done week in, week out. Never say never, especially considering that Chelsea have had interest in Nusa before. But the Norway international moving to west London in the summer does not seem too likely as things stand.
