Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes proudly poses with his glamorous wife Brittany at ESPY Awards as praises the way she copes with ‘haters’

Patrick Mahomes praised his spouse Brittany Mahomes for her resilience when it comes to dealing with social media trolls.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 27, spoke with E! News in a story published Wednesday, as the couple was attending the 2023 ESPY Awards in Hollywood, California at the Dolby Theatre.

The two-time Super Bowl champion pointed to his wife’s athletic background playing soccer for the University of Texas at Tyler, and the Icelandic soccer team UMF Afturelding/Fram.

‘She was an athlete growing up,’ the Tyler, Texas-born signal-caller told the publication.

He continued: ‘If you played any sports, you know as many people that enjoy how you play and the effort that you give, [there’s] people that are always going to hate on you.’

Patrick, who is father to two children with Brittany – daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, two, and seven-month-old son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III – said his spouse ‘has a good sense of that.’

Patrick, who inked a $500 million, 10-year contract in 2020, said his wife of two years ‘has her head on her shoulders the right way,’ by taking a calm approach to life, which ‘all of us can learn’ from.

He added, ‘Enjoy your life every single day and not worry about what everyone thinks – life’s short,’ and that ‘you want to enjoy those moments and remember those moments.’

Patrick said that he and his wife ‘try to enjoy those moments with our family as much as possible.’

Patrick – who is featured in the new Netflix docuseries Quarterback, which hits the streaming service Wednesday – said he’s past consulted his wife on how to deal with ‘the pressure of being in the spotlight’ and the ‘ups and downs’ of the sport.

He said, ‘She’s my rock. She’s the one that, through tough times, can get me through.

‘Having someone that supports you every single day like I do is the reason that I am in the position that I am today.’

Mahomes is gearing up for his sixth professional season in the NFL, as he continues what has been a career of unrivaled excellence and effectiveness on the field.
