It’s been a bumper year for Taylor Swift.

Her cupboards are stacked with music awards, and her Eras Tour and accompanying movie are breaking ticket sales records.

The 33-year-old billionaire may want to try her hand at something new.

This week, pundits in Washington DC are weighing whether Swift has a future in politics.

The latest polling puts her far ahead of those seeking the keys to the White House in next year’s race.

Fully 40 percent of Americans described positive feelings about the musician, an NBC News survey shows.

Only 16 percent view her negatively, giving her a favorability score of 24.

That puts her way ahead of President Joe Biden, a Democrat, and his predecessor Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner.

Announcing the results of the survey, NBC correspondent Emilie Ikeda said Swift came out ‘wildly on top.’

‘In between Taylor Swift’s tours and her albums, if she wants to run for the Oval Office, she may do well,’ added Ikeda.

Biden, who seeks reelection next year, has a negative favorability rating of -17.

That means more people say they feel negatively about him than positively.

So does Trump, who is 16 percentage points underwater.

The same goes for other candidates in next year’s race.

Nikki Haley, former Gov of South Carolina, has a -4 score.

Florida Gov Ron DeSantis stands at -20.

Researchers also asked about new Republican House Speaker, Mike Johnson, who got a -9 rating.

Vice President Kamala Harris was seen worst of all, with a favorability score of -23.

Mediaite writer Jamie Frevele said Swift was well ahead of the political pack.

That’s because she had an ‘ability to transcend politics,’ wrote Frevele.

This ‘could be the shot in the arm’ that next year’s presidential campaign needs, she added.

Swift largely keeps out of politics and has yet to reveal any plans to seek office.

In 2020, she came out in support of the Democratic presidential team, releasing a photo of herself holding a tray of ‘Biden Harris 2020’ cookies.

Staying out of the fray could well be one of her strengths.

It means she appeals to Americans from all backgrounds.

Four-in-ten voters said they felt positively about the Grammy-winning musician.

That included large numbers of men and women from all age and ethnic groups.

It’s also been a big year for Beyoncé, who like Swift polls better than top politicos

And while she’s slightly more popular among Democratic voters, there are still plenty of Republicans who like her too.

That’s where Biden, Harris, Trump, and other office-bearers come unstuck.

They have fans on their own side of politics, but get lots of haters on the other side of the fence.

Researchers also asked about Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, singer of Single Ladies and other chart-toppers.

Like Swift, she has fans across the political spectrum, and a net favorability score of 13.

Jeff Horwitt, of Hart Research, who conducted the poll, told NBC the two pop stars were in a different league to the politicians.

They ‘have the ability and influence to reach Americans in ways that our national leaders cannot,’ said Horwitt.

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted from November 10-14 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
