Tom Brady ‘spent £35k on Botox’ & there’s an explanation for his slimmer face

TOM Brady has spent thousands on Botox injections during his NFL career to maintain his looks off the pitch, a plastic surgeon said.

But he claimed the football legend had relaxed the treatments since retiring and explained another cause for rumors surrounding Tom’s slimmed-down face.

Tom, 46, was photographed jetboarding on Monday near his lavish Indian Creek Mansion.

The seven-time Super Bowl star looked trim in a fitted black wetsuit. His cheekbones and jawline look more defined.

Some fans of the former quarterback claim he has had plastic surgery.

Commenting on a recent Instagram clip, one follower wrote: “Dude needs to chill on the plastic surgery.”

“The plastic surgery is creepy,” another added, labeling him: “Botox Brady.”

But in an exclusive interview, facial plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Westreich dismissed these opinions.

He told The U.S. Sun: “Tom looks like he is actually doing less Botox than what he was doing before he retired.

“He appears to be moving his forehead now and it is not super smooth like it was before.

“It is possible Tom does not want that full frozen effect from Botox anymore.

“Too many injections can also cause droopy eyelids, which he would want to avoid.”

Since retiring from football in February, Tom has ramped up his social media game.

Westreich noted Tom’s features changed most in the early 2000s, shortly before he started dating Gisele Bündchen in ’06.

At the time, Tom was signed to the New England Patriots, and had just had his first son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

“Tom looks to have started doing Botox in 2006 and had the three main areas done,” he said.

“This would be the forehead, the glabellar, and the crow’s feet.

“From 2016, he started getting heavier doses of Botox.

“For the first ten years, he would have been spending around $2,000 per year.

“And from 2016 until around 2022, he would have been spending closer to $3,500 per year.

“Wearing a helmet on the pitch would not have affected his Botox.

“However, Tom does not look to have had any other plastic surgery.”

Westreich dismissed suggestions that the former player had got buccal fat removal – a treatment which strips fat from the cheeks – in January.

At the time a Twitter user shared a photo of Tom looking fairly gaunt.

She had asked: “Did Brady get his buccal fat removed?”

“Since Tom has gotten older, he got a little bit more hollowed out in the cheeks,” Westreich said.

“But he has definitely not had any buccal fat removal. He has never even had any buccal fat to remove.

“Tom has always had that shadow that runs down from his cheek to the sides of his chin.”

Westreich did not rule out a hair transplant however, claiming Tom may have tweaked his “widow’s peak” in 2020.

“What I cannot say 100 percent is that he did not at some point get a small hair transplant,” he said.

“Tom’s hairstyles are all over the place.

“But it is possible that he got a little bit in the front.

“It would not have been anything super dramatic.

“The transplant would just have been for the widow’s peak area.”

Decades spent in the spotlight saw the former Bucs star gradually overhaul his looks.

He never admitted to getting any cosmetic work.

6-foot-4 Brady follows a strict diet and training regimen.

He is said to avoid white sugar, dairy, white flour, and caffeine, instead eating organic veggies and lean meats.

Tom told People: “I’ve developed so many healthy habits, I just want to stick with them.”

The dad-of-three also started losing weight in the aftermath of his divorce from supermodel Gisele – sparking the buccal fat removal rumors.

During an episode of his podcast, Let’s Go, the Super Bowl champion admitted he had slimmed.

“I’m down about 10 pounds, but I’m actually very fit right now,” he said.

Dr. Westreich suggested it would be usual for a sportsperson at Tom’s level to drop weight when they retired.

“When sports people end their careers they naturally lose weight,” he explained.

“For footballers particularly, they would have been putting on weight as part of being able to compete in the sport.

“Football players try to be heavier as well.

“For Tom, he has also been doing all these longevity things.

“He has been getting an even better shape since February.

“This probably results in a lower body fat content so his face and body are now slimmer.

“Similarly, when he was younger it would not be unusual for his face to be a little fuller.”

Remarks about Tom’s smooth skin and refined facial features also picked up as his personal life changed.

After divorcing Gisele in 2022, Tom’s relationship with model Irina Shayk hit the headlines.

The pair were been spotted near Tom’s Los Angeles home in July.

Irina has also been seen outside his New York pad and at his hotel in London.

Dr Westreich continued: “I do not think Tom has been getting more Botox in response to his divorce,

“I just do not think Tom ever needs to try that hard to look good.”
