In photos: Inside Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous museum in Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo has won numerous individual awards and trophies throughout his illustrious career, solidifying his status as one of the premier athletes globally, even after his move to Saudi Arabia, Newspremises understands.

A recent highlight was his visit to the CR7 Signature Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, adding to his collection of dedicated spaces.

Since 2013, admirers numbering in the hundreds of thousands have made pilgrimages to his Museu CR7 in Funchal, the hometown of Portugal’s captain.

Situated on the picturesque Madeira Island in Portugal, the Funchal-based CR7 Museum commemoratesp Ronaldo’s remarkable on-field achievements.

Beyond showcasing the hardware of his two-decade career, including Ballon d’Or awards and trophies, the museum offers an immersive experience into his origins and meteoric ascent to superstardom.

Among the memorabilia exhibited are jerseys from his journey starting at Sporting Lisbon to his current tenure at Al-Nassr, along with game-worn gloves and boots.

Adjacent to the museum stands a sizable bronze statue featuring a plaque proclaiming “Melhor Jogador Do Mundo” — translated as ‘Best Player In The World,’ as reported by the Guardian. Nevertheless, opinions might differ among Lionel Messi enthusiasts.

Additionally, a bronze statue portraying Ronaldo adorned in a Portugal jersey graces the museum’s exterior.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s career so far

Ronaldo made his professional debut in football in 2002, and one can make a case for him as the GOAT.

He played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Nassr. He has scored over 800 goals for both club and country in over 1,000 games, per Transfermarkt.

He has won every trophy imaginable in his club career and for Portugal.

The only title that has evaded him is the FIFA World Cup. If he continues playing, he could win it with his nation in 2026.
