The pop singer and actor made his MCU debut in the mid-credits scene of Chloé Zhao’s Eternals.
Singer and Popstar Harry Styles made his MCU debut as Eros a.k.a Starfox in last year’s disastrous film Eternals. The actor appears in the mid-credits scene of the film and meets the Eternals, indicating that the character, who is Thanos’ brother, will have a prominent presence in the MCU moving forward.
While there have only been speculations about Styles’ return as Starfox in the MCU, his character now has an interesting connection in the comics with the ‘OG’ Avenger himself, Iron Man. The Invincible Iron Man storyline has established and is teasing a team-up between the two characters, which might just change the dynamics in the Marvel universe.
Harry Styles’ Connection To Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man
Starfox in the comics
While there has been no news or updates on Harry Styles’ future in the MCU, the ongoing comic storyline The Invincible Iron Man has recently established an unlikely connection between Styles’ Starfox and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark’s Iron Man. The comic book series is still ongoing so there might be spoilers ahead.
In the new series, Tony Stark has lost all his technology and fortune after it is taken by the X-Men villain Feilong. Feilong is an anti-mutant industrialist who heads the mutant-hating group Orchis. The villain is also responsible for mutant genocide. He has now taken over the technology and money of Tony Stark.
Stark enlists the help of Emma Frost to regain his technology and wealth back. He also has Wilson Fisk, She-Hulk, and Captain America on his list of helpers. However, the comics now indicate Stark teaming up with the unlikely Eternal Starfox to help him find the element mysterium, which he can use to build a new suit.
Starfox has largely been a solo hero who has been given more prominence since Harry Styles’ portrayal of him in Eternals. His teaming up with Iron Man could mean that he would gain even more presence in the comics and could potentially be a huge part of the MCU as well. With Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man rumored to return in Avengers: Secret Wars, there is potential to see the duo team up on screen as well.
Harry Styles’ Acting Career And Future In The MCU

After departing from his legendary band One Direction, Harry Styles embarked on a career as a solo artist and has seen multiple successes. Apart from his debut album as a solo artist, Styles also began an acting career, where he debuted in Christopher Nolan’s World War II drama Dunkirk.
While Styles’ performance was lost among the crowd in the film, which had stalwarts such as Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and Mark Rylance, he received a great offer from the MCU and he appeared in the mid-credits scene of Chloé Zhao’s Eternals. Styles starred as Eros a.k.a Starfox in the comics, the bother of Thanos, who was recently defeated in Avengers: Endgame.
A still from Don’t Worry Darling
Harry Styles’ Starfox has not yet returned in any of the other films or series that have come out in the MCU, but producer Nate Moore once revealed that they had many plans for the character. He said on the Deadline Crew Call podcast,
“We certainly didn’t cast Harry for a tag…He’s fascinating. He has a really interesting connection with Thanos; they’re half-brothers and share the same father. He has an interesting power set…And I think there’s no limit to how good that character’s going to be once we get to bring him back.”
After his appearance as Eros, Harry Styles starred in the controversial and trolled thriller Don’t Worry Darling. Styles starred along with Florence Pugh and Chris Pine in the film. The singer reportedly replaced actor Shia LaBeouf after the latter had differences with director Olivia Wilde. The film received mixed reviews but was moderately successful.
