Serena Williams‘ kit for Wimbledon will include a Nike logo made from 34 Swarovski crystals – to mark the age of the American when she won her last SW19 title in 2016.
The sportswear giants unveiled on Wednesday their Swoosh brooch, nicknamed ‘the Broosh’, which the 37-year-old former world No 1 will sport at the All England Club next week.
Speaking about the item, Nike’s global design director Abby Swancutt said she ‘wanted her to feel like it was something her grandmother could have worn’.

She added: ‘But of course give it a modern spin and make it just right for Serena.’
The 37-year-old American has not played a grass court tournament ahead of Wimbledon, which starts on Monday.
Serena has not played since her third round defeat at the French Open, where she caused a stir by walking on to the court wearing a superhero cape.
Williams made another bold fashion statement by walking on court wearing a cape
Serena was dressed in a zebra-striped outfit designed by Nike for her first-round match
After the banning of the catsuit she wore here a year ago Serena was not going to back down when it came to her entrance at Roland Garros.
She walked on to the court wearing a superhero cape emblazoned with the words (in French): ‘Mother, champion, queen, goddess.’
Underneath it was an outfit featuring black and white zebra stripes.
