Many international fans have loudly shared posts attributed to Rosé regarding BLACKPINK’s contract renewal. But it turned out to be just a ‘trick’.
On the morning of December 6, BLACKPINK fans couldn’t help but rejoice when YG officially confirmed that all four girls had renewed their group contracts and would continue to work together. The company’s representative also confirmed that in the future, the group will release a new album and organize a global tour.

In the happy atmosphere of BLINK because the group continues to work together, some people carelessly… shared the wrong statement from Rosé. Accordingly, after the company announced the above information, a line of comments from Rosé was widely shared with the content:
“Dear BLINKs, I am very sorry that the contract renewal was not announced until now. BLACKPINK will be together again so don’t worry. I love you guys so much. Well, I have a cover of a Christmas song, should I post it?”
In just a short time, Rosé’s post sharing the above comment received nearly 2 thousand reposts on X (Twitter). In particular, most fans comforted Rosé not to be sad about the late announcement, because the current ending has made BLINKs very satisfied.
But it turns out, that comment from Rosé was not an apology related to the late announcement at all. That is a comment cut from an online conversation between Rosé and fans on the Weverse platform. That comment was actually just a simple conversation surrounding the topic of eating between the Gone singer and a fan.
Everyone thought this fan was translating correctly, but the truth is that the comment content was completely different – Photo:
Specifically, on the evening of December 5, Rosé had a comment conversation with fans on the social networking platform Weverse. The comment line that BLACKPINK fans shared with the apology content actually revolves around Rosé’s content of eating, drinking, and happily chatting with fans.
Because seeing the English line above, those who are not fluent in Korean will innocently think that is really the content of the text below. In particular, international fans are the ones who get scammed because they don’t know Korean. Even an admin of Rosé’s 98,000-followed fanpage in Vietnam had to apologize for being in the group… re-sharing Rosé’s ‘blasphemy’.

But right after this “trick” of international fans went viral, Jisoo actually made the first move related to the group re-signing the contract. The eldest sister posted a photo of all 4 group members with a pink and black heart-shaped icon, touching fans. Hopefully in the new “term” the group will continue to bring great songs to the audience.
