The beginning of Niki and Lisa Blackpink’s friendship was established when Lisa liked one of NIKI’s songs entitled “Spell”. Lisa then uploaded the song to her social media with the added love effect.

“At first I knew that she (Lisa Blackpink) was a fan of my song, Spell, my song. What platform has he posted on? Then I was told ‘look at Lisa posting’ that’s how it is,” said Niki Zefanya via Najwa Shihab’s YouTube account on Friday, May 27 2022.

Niki found out about this when someone else told her that Lisa liked the song. This is an interesting moment for NIKI because one of the K-pop idols she admires really appreciates her work.

Lisa contacted Niki first via direct message on Instagram. The Thai singer then asked to meet him when Blackpink performed at the Coachella music festival in the United States.

“Then finally he DMed me ‘hi, I’m going to LA, let’s meet later’ because he wants to Coachella. At that time, Blackpink was Coachella and they also had a show on the forum. ‘ok I have an off day today, let’s meet up okay’,” Niki continued.

This meeting was an opportunity for them to spend time together, starting from trying typical Thai culinary delights, visiting the Griffith Observatory, and taking photos together.
