When Elina Svitolina was competing at Wimbledon, she was also supposed to attend a Harry Styles concert around that date.
However, due to her progress at the tournament, she could not go. Later, she even shared her regret of not making it to the concert on social media. Surprisingly, Harry Styles himself responded to her, saying that he is going on tour again and she is welcome to join any.
Harry Styles had also wished Svitolina luck at the tournament. There was a lot of back and forth between them. And recently in an interview, Elina Svitolina disclosed what Harry Styles told her about having tickets for his next concert.
Svitolina was definitely sad about missing the Harry Styles concert. She even offered the tickets she had bought to her fans as she could not attend. However, Styles offered her to attend any of his concerts after the tour. In a recent interview, Svitolina shared what exactly he had promised her regarding those tickets.
She shared, “And that Harry Styles concert? “He told me that next time he will be going on tour, I have two tickets. So, all good.” When Styles told her previously about how she could join the concert later, he in fact also promised her 2 tickets which she could not use in the first place due to her tournament.
Seems like Styles is a man of his word and of course, Svitolina gets to attend the concert of her favorite artist as well. Besides sharing her amazement towards Styles, Svitolina also talked about serious issues related to her war-torn home country. She shared how her stance remains unchanged for the coming year as well.
In the same interview, Elina Svitolina declared that she would continue to take a stance for her country during the war situation. She had stopped shaking hands with Russian and Belarusian players on the court and even appealed for them not to be allowed to play the sport. However, since that was not accomplished, she refused to shake hands with the players.
In the interview, she revealed that even in the upcoming year, she is going to support her stance and it is not going to change. She still feels that those players should not be allowed to play so that the war situation can be controlled. As of now, she is working closely with the president of the country to provide for those who are suffering to refurbish the damaged infrastructure.
