The two-time Super Bowl champion, Travis Kelce, has been slammed for his recent games being told that he’s gone “soft” and that he’s not as good as Sam Laporta, the Detroit Lions tight end.
Kelce quickly became the butt of the joke following his first fumble of the season in a 27-17 victory over the New England Patriots.
This time Kelce was not of the targeted by Patrick Mahomes but by Annie Agar, who went viral on TikTok for her portrayal of NFL fanbases, and she even found a way to name drop Taylor Swift, who is dating Kelce, into the joke.
“The Chiefs receivers continue to struggle with drops,” Agar said, mimicking the League. “But, it is not Kadarius Toney‘s fault this time. The refs should have told him to catch the ball.
“Didn’t Travis Kelce have a drop too?”, she added as a Baltimore Ravens fan this time before switching to a Lions outfit to say, “Well, he’s no Sam LaPorta.”
Finally she donned Miami Dolphins apparel to take her second swipe at Kelce by saying, “Dating Taylor Swift has made him softer than a Drake album.”
Kelce’s struggles
Kelce had started the season as one of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ standout players again in 2023 by recording four touchdowns in his opening six games but now he’s on a serious dry spell of just the one touchdown in his last seven.

His struggles are related to a weakness that the Chiefs now seem to have laid bare in front of them, poor receiver form as they’re struggling to get the offense working despite Mahomes‘ efforts. It has seen Kelce‘s volume drop in favor of targets to Rashee Rice and Kadarius Toney.
Despite that, Kelce should still extend the record for most consecutive seasons with 1000 receiving yards to eight, holding the record for tight end players in the NFL.
