Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, annihilated all his rivals during the 2023 season. Verstappen operated in a league of his own in the cockpit of the mighty RB19 but despite this fact, he feels that there is room for improvement on the car heading into next year’s campaign.

The Red Bull F1 team won a total of 21 races out of the possible 22 this season and did not give the rival teams much of a chance. The only blemish that Red Bull has on their 2023 record is the Singapore GP where Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz won the event. Keeping this in view, Max Verstappen feels that there is room for improvement.

Looking at the reaction of the Dutchman, it is quite clear that street circuits are an area in which Red Bull wants to improve during the 2024 F1 season. While shedding light on the same in detail, he said, as reported by raciongnews365;

We know our weaknesses in the car. That’s what we’ll try to work on plus, of course, trying to make our strengths even stronger. Look at our race weekend in Singapore. In general, on street circuits, I think we are a bit struggling a bit more like in Vegas also. Low speed is definitely not our strongest point in the car; bumps, curbs as well. So that’s definitely a big area where we can improve.

Max Verstappen will eye his 4th world championship in 2024

While Max Verstappen has indicated that Red Bull has identified street circuits as an area of concern for them, his main goal during next year is once again going to be to triumph in as many events as possible and secure a fourth world title. Verstappen has won three titles on the bounce since 2021.

The 26-year-old has seen a massive surge in his reputation in recent years, and today, he is considered one of the best drivers to ever step foot into the world of the pinnacle of motor racing. Moreover, he is tipped by several pundits as the one who could break Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher’s F1 record somewhere down the line.

Max Verstappen was able to secure 19 Grand Prix wins single-handedly during the recent season and had the upper hand of his rivals for the most part. Considering this, he will be one of the favorites if not the favorite, to win the F1 world championship during during the 2024 F1 season.
