Anthony Joshua is told he has NO chance of beating Tyson Fury, with the Gypsy King described as ‘unbeatable’ by his trainer ahead of potential world title fight

Anthony Joshua has been warned that he has no chance of beating Tyson Fury.

AJ enjoyed a positive weekend when he looked back to his best during his victory over Otto Wallin on the Day of Reckoning’s main event.

Joshua stopped Wallin in the fifth round with a mature, dominant performance in Riyadh.

He was expected to announce a blockbuster fight with Deontay Wilder soon after, but that looks to be off after the American was surprisingly beaten by Joseph Parker.

It sets up the prospect of another world title fight against either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk – with the two facing off for the undisputed world heavyweight title on February 17.

Fury is preparing for a undisputed world heavyweight title fight against Oleksandr Usyk

Joshua’s performance on Saturday led to one supporter heaping praise on him before comparing his victory over Wallin to the Gypsy King’s triumph over the Swedish heavyweight.

They posted on X, formerly Twitter: ‘AJ smokes the guy that bloodied Fury ridiculously. In the same night Wilder gets easily beaten by Parker, a man AJ handily beat when he was a world champ. Interesting how this is playing out.’

This was in reference to Fury’s victory over Wallin by unanimous decision in 2019 after battling on with a nasty gash above his eye.

However, Andy Lee – who coached Parker for his win against Wilder and also trains Fury – took umbrage to the post and hit back.

He replied: ‘What’s the motivation behind this tweet? Hating on a man who’s done nothing but win. Winning fights has a lot to do with timing. No one will beat Tyson.’

Lee, a former boxer, then further defended Fury after the Gyspy King was accused of ducking fights against the likes of Joshua and Usyk in the past.

‘I know Tyson has done all he can and exceeded to make both these fights. Whatever gets put out in the media is different from what’s really happening,’ Lee replied.

Fury’s clash with Usyk will see him return to the ring after his narrow victory over Francis Ngannou in October, where he won by a single point in a controversial decision.

And Joshua – who will be ringside for the blockbuster fight in the New Year – has backed the Ukrainian to triumph.

He said, as quoted by The Mirror: ‘I think it’s gonna be a really, really good fight. I’m going to be straight up, I’m leaning towards Usyk, but who knows?

‘They’re both at the top of their game. I wish them well. I hope they have a great training camp.’
