On December 29 KST, YG Entertainment released an official statement to confirm that the members of BLACKPINK will not carry out their individual promotions under the label.
According to the agency’s press release on this day,
“Some time ago, YG Entertainment renewed BLACKPINK’s contracts for the team’s promotions as a group. We have now come to an agreement to not sign contracts for the members’ individual promotions. YG Entertainment promises to support BLACKPINK’s group activities with all available resources, while also cheering on the members’ individual activities with a warm heart.Thank you.”
Previously, Jennie announced her new start at her very own label, OA (ODDATELIER), while the remaining members of BLACKPINK have yet to reveal more specific plans for their individual activities in 2024. Industry insiders believe that Lisa is discussing a contract with an overseas agency, while Jisoo is seeking opportunities to expand her acting career.
