Clearly, Taylor Swift isn’t the only one noticing the athlete’s gentlemanly behavior.
Everyone knows Travis Kelce is an asset to his team on the football field, but teammates can attest to him being an inspiration even beyond just his gameplay.
Fellow NFL player Izaiah Gathings recently spoke out to offer some insight into Kelce’s real personality behind the press conferences and end zone celebrations, revealing that the tight end showed him nothing but kindness when he first joined the team.

Gathings, who signed a deal with the Chiefs in July 2023, recalled his first day in Kansas City, when he sat down to eat lunch by himself.
“I didn’t really know anybody on the team,” the rookie explained in a video shared to his YouTube channel. “[There were] already people from the team in the lunch room when I get in there but I don’t know nobody so I go sit at the table by myself.”
He continued, “I’m eating my food, I’m minding my own business, I’m on my phone. And I see two plates of food slap down beside me out of the corner of my eye.”
He had no clue who it was, until “all of a sudden whoever it was said: ‘Yo, what’s up with you, my boy? You straight (good)?'”
He continued, “Fool, it’s Travis Kelce. I look up from my phone. I see who it is. I’m like: ‘Hell, yeah, I’m straight. You good?'”
Gathings admitted that he was practically “stuttering” when talking to the two-time Super Bowl winner. “Just imagine you’re sitting there, eating your lunch, and all of a sudden Travis Kelce comes up beside you,” he added, “and then proceeds to sit down and have a normal conversation with me?”
That moment clearly meant everything to Gathings, who said that was when he realized Kelce is “really just a regular cool…dude,” as well as “funny as hell,” “fun to be around,” and “cool as hell.”
All signs point to Kelce being a true class act, it’s no wonder Taylor Swift is falling for him!
