Fabrizio Romano has claimed that one Chelsea player is travelling to a European club today in order to finalise his move away from the club.
He took to Twitter to state that Ian Maatsen is now on his way to Borussia Dortmund, with a medical scheduled for tomorrow ahead of his loan move.
Business has been quiet so far in January for the Blues, with them focusing on outgoings in the opening week or so of the window.

They have already secured a Championship loan for Alex Matos, and will be positive he is in for a good spell after already starting his first game for Huddersfield.
Now though, it looks as if Maatsen is about to be added to that list of players leaving the club on a temporary basis in the coming days.
Fabrizio Romano took to social media to give his signature ‘here we go’ to the move to Borussia Dortmund, where he will have the opportunity to play Champions League football for the first time in his career.
Maatsen travelling to Dortmund
He said: “Ian Maatsen to Borussia Dortmund, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between BVB and Chelsea on loan deal with salary covered.“More: Understand Maatsen will travel on Tuesday… then medical booked on Wednesday. Maatsen accepted BVB days ago, deal done.”
There will certainly be some Chelsea fans raising their eyebrows at this deal, especially as it is one that does not seem to include a clause where the Bundesliga side are forced to sign him on a permanent basis.
Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella, both higher in the pecking order in the position than the Dutchman, are injured and have struggled with fitness this season.
This has seen Mauricio Pochettino look to start Levi Colwill in the position for the majority of occasions, which has looked at times as if he is woefully out of position.
