Lisa (BLACKPINK) seems to no longer be used by this brand in the new advertising campaign.

Lisa (BLACKPINK) is known as the only global ambassador and “darling” of the Celine brand. However, after the striptease controversy broke out and was “sabotaged” by the Chinese market, Lisa was suspected of being abandoned by this brand. Specifically, Celine’s Weibo account has deleted all images of the female idol.

Most recently, netizens discovered that Lisa is no longer used in Celine’s new advertising campaign. The female idol does not appear on the brand’s Instagram feed like many other models and celebrities. The youngest member of BLACKPINK only appears in promotional stories on Instagram and is not allowed to post photos on official Weibo. Lisa can only appear on Kakaotalk (messaging application in the Korean market) and 1 unofficial Weibo account. She is not allowed to run ads on a global scale, only appearing in the markets of Hong Kong – Taiwan (China), Korea, Japan and Thailand.

All of this raises suspicions that Lisa has been “disgraced” and is no longer Celine’s global ambassador after the strip scandal. Previously, Sina also reported that luxury fashion brands were about to announce the cancellation of contracts with Lisa. Sina quoted industry insiders as saying that the ban in the Chinese market caused Lisa’s commercial value to bottom out. The youngest member of BLACKPINK not only lost fans, but the brand she represents is also at risk of being boycotted in the billion-dollar market. Therefore, these brands will one by one cancel their contracts with Lisa in the near future.

However, many fans have objected to this statement. Just recently, Lisa and Park Bo Gum attended Celine’s event in Thailand. The event attracted a large number of fans watching live as well as via social networks. Even employees in rival stores stopped their work to rush to take pictures of Lisa. The female idol born in 1997 also became the face of Taiwan’s ELLE year in Celine outfits. This proves that she has never had her contract cut by Celine or “disgraced”.
