One Piece: 7 Straw Hats That Will Gain Haki In The Final Saga

These Straw Hats will unlock haki in the One Piece’s final saga.

Haki is an essential power in the world of One Piece, especially in the second half of the story, which is set in the New World. This is the sea where the strongest of characters unite and fight for supremacy, and for those who don’t have Haki, survival in the sea is almost impossible.

While a good number of the Straw Hat Pirates are avid users of Haki, there are others who don’t have access to this ability just yet, however, with the story now in the Final Saga and the Straw Hat Pirates now being promoted to an emperor group, it is highly likely that these characters will end up gaining Haki as well.

7. Chopper

Potential Haki Upgrade: Armament And Observation

Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates and an individual that fans might not necessarily think is capable of using Haki. However, Haki is present in everyone, including the likes of Chopper. It is simply untapped. The Straw Hat Pirate is an Emperor crew and, for the Emperors, every officer should have at least two basic forms of Haki.

Chopper is no exception to the rule and even though he has a powerful Devil Fruit and the ability to use Monster Point, chopper needs to go a level beyond and manifest at least Armament and Observation Haki.

6. Brook

Potential Haki Upgrade: Armament And Observation

Having been a pirate for quite a long time, Brook should know about Haki and how it is utilized. Furthermore, Brook is a swordsman and, for a swordsman to strengthen their skill with the blade, utilizing Haki is essential. So far, Brook has not engaged in any major battles in the post-time skip of One Piece.

While he has had skirmishes here and there, a proper one-on-one with a strong opponent is something that has eluded his character. However, when that happens, Brook will need his Haki to take him to the next level and, that is possibly when he will awaken this ability.

5. Franky

Potential Haki Upgrade: Armament Haki

Cyborg Franky might be overly reliant on his scientific skills in combat, however, in his fight against Sasaki, it was painfully evident that the Franky Shogun, which is his trump card, was not strong enough to fight high-level enemies. Sasaki was simply a member of the Tobiroppo, yet he was able to destroy the Franky Shogun, and Franky was able to take him down with a Radical Beam after ejecting himself. If Franky is to progress further, he needs to incorporate other abilities into his skill set, such as Haki.

For Frankie, utilizing Armament Haki first and foremost makes the most sense. This is especially true for him, given that he’s one of the highest-ranking fighters of the Straw Hat Pirates. Even Sasaki, the character who he defeated in Wano, was a user of Armament and Observation Haki.

4. Usopp

Potential Haki Upgrade: Armament And Conqueror’s Haki

Usopp is a character who will inevitably end up gaining more Haki types in One Piece. He has already awakened Observation Haki, and he needs to awaken Armament Haki and, potentially, even Conqueror’s Haki in the story.

Usopp is strong but he certainly needs this power, especially if he used to become a brave warrior of the sea. He also would like to surpass his father one day, who fans already know is an extremely good user of Haki and one of the three strongest combatants under Shanks.

3. Sanji

Potential Haki Upgrade: Conqueror’s Haki

Sanji already has access to two Haki types, however, that doesn’t mean that he can’t gain Haki in the Final Saga. Conqueror’s Haki is an ability that has eluded Sanji so far, however, given that he is a Prince of the Germa Kingdom and has conqueror’s blood in his veins, he is a candidate for conqueror’s Haki.

On top of that, Sanji has already shown his leadership skills on many occasions, such as when he led the Straw Hat Pirates. He is a character who can potentially awaken Conqueror’s Haki, and the fact that he is a top-tier fighter with a bounty of 1.032 billion berries on his head already, is proof enough that he has the potential to awaken it.

2. Nami

Potential Haki Upgrade: Observation Haki

Nami is a character who relies primarily on weather science in combat, however, this ability, while strong, is not enough to take down the top tiers. A glimpse of that was given to the fans when Nami fought against S-Shark and almost died. Even Zeus was ineffective against him and, if she intends to take down such enemies, she will have to strengthen her abilities, such as Observation Haki, at the very least.

Nami is a proud officer of the Straw Hat Pirates and for her to not have Haki would simply be inexplicable in the later half of the Final Saga.

1. Nico Robin

Potential Haki Upgrade: Armament And Observation

Nico Robin is one character who should have already awakened Haki a long time ago. Robin is exceptionally powerful and certainly a character who can be considered among the best combatants on the crew. She has a bounty of 930 million berries on her head and for a billion beri pirate to not have Haki is simply inexplicable.

In the Final Saga, Robin will have to awaken Armament and Observation Haki at the very least if she is to keep up with the rest of the crew and hold her own against stronger enemies.
