That project is being helmed by four-time Oscar nominee David O. Russell – who directed Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook, which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2013.

Outside of acting, Gomez has found success with her cooking show Selena + Chef on HBO Max, which has been running for an impressive five seasons so far.
All these TV and film project come as the star is said to be winding down her music career.
The Texas native recently shared that she feels as if she still has one more album in her.
Gomez – who has been romancing music producer Benny Blanco – told Smartless podcast hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, ‘I started having a lot of fun with music and then touring was really fun.
‘But I was doing my TV show [Wizards of Waverly Place] at the same time, and I just found it really fun, so I just kept going. ‘But the older I get, the more I’m kind of like, “I would like to find something to just settle on.”
‘And if she had to choose which career path to choose right now, it wouldn’t be her music.
‘I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,’ she concluded.
