Enel was the main antagonist of the Skypiea arc. He traveled to the island after destroying his homeland. Enel was accompanied by his priests, who supported him in his genocide. He possessed the Guro Guro no Mi, which gave him complete power over thunder. Enel used his power to punish anyone who dared to question his authority. Since he had control over such a powerful element, his attacks were very potent.

Enel combined it with his Observation Haki to monitor everything that was going on in Skypiea. Due to this reason, the natives of the island believed that Enel was truly a god who was capable of reading their thoughts.
