Will Nikolas Second-Guess Leaving Port Charles Without Ava?

General Hospital spoilers spill Ava Jerome (Maura West) is clearly still as in love with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) as she ever was, but her pride just won’t step aside and let her fall for the guy.

Not this time. Not blindly. Not ever again? We think not. Nikolas was keen on making things right with Ava, but we never even got to see how that conversation would’ve panned out before Ava abruptly shut it down — making it painfully clear that things between them were over, despite the clear spark burning down around them.

Ava was tearful when she said goodbye to Nikolas — a moment she didn’t think would happen so soon. Could it have worked? Is this really the end of it all?

General Hospital Spoilers — Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

Ava was only mildly fearful when Nikolas appeared in the stock room with his hand over her mouth. She didn’t hesitate to ask if he was there to repay her for nearly killing him.

Suddenly, the rough exterior melted away and Nikolas had no trouble sharing how sorry he was for hurting her and ruining their marriage.

Off his tongue rolled words Ava never expected to hear, and she may not have been ready for how they made her feel.

But his apology was too little too late, she said. When Nikolas uttered the word goodbye, it clearly moved Ava to tears.

A day or two of sparring with him and coming close to rekindling something was enough to reignite something inside of her, and she’ll soon find herself wishing she hadn’t let him go.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Nikolas Cassadine Isn’t Gone

Nikolas absconded with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) as quickly as he could, but that doesn’t mean he’s actually out of Port Charles.

If he can manage to stay on the down low, he just might try to see Ava again and convince her to grab Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) and run off with him and his baby boy.

Ava is comfortable with her life in Port Charles, and she doesn’t think she can escape Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) either. They’ve been through this before.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Isn’t Over It

Still, saying goodbye to Nikolas for a second time won’t be easy. He may not have been willing to stick around for his sons and pay for his crimes, but could Ava convince him differently?

Would his willingness to atone for his sins and pay the price for holding Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) hostage equal retribution in Ava’s eyes?

Nikolas has never been the type of man who would put anyone above himself, but if he were to, we could see it being a woman over his child.

The light in Wolfy’s eyes went out and his warmth, softness and presence receded into the landscape of my memory. I would never kiss his fur again, feel his warmth, or his reassuring presence leaning firmly against my knee. My dearest companion was gone. I bent double and let out a long and primal scream. Someone handed me a glass. Our neighbourhood’s much-loved vet, Andrew Carmichael, was there holding a stiff whisky and also wiping away tears. Now in his 80s, Andrew has euthanised countless animals, yet…’This job gets harder, not easier,’ he said. ‘Here’s to dear Wolfy and to the others that follow. You will love many more dogs in your life.’
