She appeared to be holding up well considering she had only split with her ex-fiance Pete Davidson a week prior.

TMZ revealed the Hands on Me songstress and her former lover decided to call it quits after realizing that ‘it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off.’

A source continued to tell the news publication that Ariana and Pete still have love for one another and will continue to remain friends moving forward.

However, the website has since reported that Ariana and Pete never made any solid wedding plans after announcing their engagement in June.

According to TMZ, the pair didn’t look at venues, wedding dresses or even select a wedding date once it was revealed that they’d plan to marry.

And while the split appears to have been mutual between both parties, fans were still worried about the Problem hitmaker seeing that she had still been grieving the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.

The late rapper passed away of an apparent drug overdose on September 7, leaving Ariana completely heartbroken.

On Thursday, Us Weekly had reported that Miller’s death played a big part in the duo’s ultimate decision to part ways with one another.

‘He’s sad. He’s really sad about this split, and he only wishes the best for Ariana, but their relationship was really complicated with the passing of Mac Miller,’ an insider told the news outlet.

Given the circumstances in the midst of releasing her latest album Sweetener and teasing fans of an upcoming international tour, their plans to eventually tie the knot seemed very slim.

‘Pete loved Ariana and wanted it to work, but they’ve both had such tragic events happen in their lives. And they are young.’

Meanwhile, taking to her Twitter account following the news of her split from Pete, Ariana simply wrote: ‘can i pls have one okay day. just one. pls.’

And while the timing couldn’t have been worse for Ariana and Pete currently, a source concludes by telling TMZ that they ‘aren’t ruling out the possibility of anything in the future.’
