BLACKPINK member Lisa continues to dominate music platforms globally, setting another record as a solo artist.
As a Thai artist with extensive K-pop training under YG Entertainment, Lisa has made a significant impact on Korean music history. Her hit single “Money” reached a new milestone by becoming the first K-pop song by a solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. The above achievement is remarkable as it has been achieved without collaborations or remixes since its release.
And now, “Money” has reached another milestone on Spotify, surpassing 1.1 billion streams. This is the first solo song by a K-pop artist to reach this number and is also the most streamed song by a female K-pop singer on the platform.
Additionally, Lisa’s popularity continues to skyrocket across her entire music catalog. Specifically, she recently achieved a remarkable number of 8.57 million monthly listeners on Spotify. With this surge in listeners, Lisa just surpassed Jimin of BTS, who currently has 8.50 million monthly listeners on his official profile. This achievement also makes Lisa the K-Pop solo artist with the third highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify, behind only her group member Jennie and Jungkook of BTS.
Meanwhile, on the YouTube Music platform, Lisa also achieved a new milestone when her song “Lalisa” surpassed 1 billion streams, and “Money” surpassed 1.6 billion streams.
