Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, has been dominating the sport for the last few years. Since 2022, he has proved pretty much unbeatable but despite this fact, former Mercedes CEO, Nick Fry, has claimed that Verstappen is not the most heroic of F1 drivers.
Nick Fry ardently feels that despite Max Verstappen’s accolades-filled CV, he won’t be remembered as a mighty driver like F1 legends, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and the former three-time world champion, Ayrton Senna.
While talking about the same in detail, he recently said, as reported by OBLG:
Max Verstappen can very well finish as the most successful driver ever, but I’m not sure if he’ll be the most heroic and the one who they’ll make movies about. I think Lewis Hamilton would be my third choice behind Senna and Schumacher. Hamilton has done a lot to broaden the appeal of F1. He’s doing his own thing, appealing to a new crowd who have been introduced to F1 as a result.
Nick Fry with his reaction has made it quite clear that Verstappen despite winning everything, has so far not managed to have the kind of impact that Hamilton, Schumacher, and the late. Senna has managed. Moreover, has indicated that the Dutchman needs to do more than just cross the chequered flag in the first place.

While Nick Fry made it known that Max Verstappen is not the kind of F1 driver that people would want to make movies about, one has to consider that the latter is still very young. Verstappen at the moment is only 26 years old.

He has several years ahead of him and who knows, he might shape his character and career in such a way that people like Fry, start seeing him in the same light as some of the F1 legends. Verstappen has so far managed to amass three world championships with 54 Grand Prix wins.
Max Verstappen has been deemed by several pundits as one of the best drivers to ever step foot into the sport. Moreover, he is seen as the driver who will somewhere down the line break, break Schumacher and Hamilton’s seven world championships record.
