The Formula 1 world is currently divided over Lewis Hamilton‘s abrupt announcement about his new contract with Ferrari which will come into effect from 2025. The Briton will be seen moving to Maranello as he will leave Mercedes after 12 years with the team once the upcoming season ends. And Hamilton has already released a statement claiming this has been one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to take.

On the other hand, the current World Championship winning team Red Bull have been a passive viewer in this entire drama between their two biggest rivals, Mercedes and Ferrari. And Red Bull Chief Advisor Helmut Marko has always been known to air his honest opinions without any filter. And this time, once again, the 80-year-old has decided not to be silent regarding Lewis Hamilton’s shift to Ferrari.

While speaking on why Lewis Hamilton took the decision to change his team at 39 years of age by activating the exit clause to get out of an existing contract with Mercedes, Helmut Marko let his thoughts be known–and the X users were enraged, so they reacted to his statement.

Given Lewis Hamilton’s huge fanbase, the fans are naturally not happy that Helmut Marko attacked him claiming that he was not happy with his salary at Mercedes. Thus they took to X and aired their views on Marko.

Here is what the fans had to say about Helmut Marko dissing Lewis Hamilton in his latest interview:

In other news, Lewis Hamilton will be seen taking over current Ferrari racer Carlos Sainz’s place in the Italian squad as Charles Leclerc’s teammate. Sainz’s contract will come to an end in 2024 and the Scuderia have decided not to renew it despite the Spaniard bringing home the only Grand Prix victory that the team could secure last year.
