Fans criticize Beyonce waxwork, comparing it to Leah Remini and Rihanna, saying it doesn’t resemble Beyonce.

It takes hundreds of hours to make a wax figure, but there’s no guarantee that the statue will be a hit with the public.

And on Thursday, following the release of Madame Tussauds Blackpool’s wax statue of Beyoncé, angry members of the 42-year-old singer’s fandom, known as the Beyhive, flocked to X (previously known as Twitter) to criticize the museum’s attempt at creating a life-size replica of the 32-time Grammy winner.

‘Don’t get me wrong the wax figure is pretty, but baby that ain’t BEYONCE,’ one wrote. ‘I need them to go get an actual picture of her or bring her there while y’all making it.’

A handful of social media users called out the wax figure for looking more like Leah Remini, 53, Tyra Banks, 50 or Rihanna, 35, than the mother-of-three.

In response to the growing number of comments suggesting the figure looked more like Remini, one fan mused this was a ‘huge win’ for the Kevin Can Wait actress; seen in 2019

‘If it didn’t say Beyoncé I would’ve said Leah [Remini] for sure,’ one perplexed X user quipped.

In response to the growing number of comments suggesting the figure looked more like Remini, one fan mused this was a ‘huge win’ for the Kevin Can Wait actress.

One fed-up Beyoncé fan asked why the wax figure museums always mess up her ‘face every single time.’

Another wrote: ‘They did Beyoncé dirty though.’

Still, some pointed out there has been progress made compared to other wax figures of the performer.

‘I mean Beyoncé’s new wax figure looks better than the last one, so just give credit where it’s due,’ one person said among all the complaints.

In 2017, a wax figure of the singer was pulled for looking ‘whitewashed.’

At the time, many compared the statue to looking like Taylor Swift.

‘Maybe just stop tryna wax up Beyonce,’ one suggested. ‘Y’all are not even trying at this point’

‘They never really get Beyoncé right with these wax figures,’ a third pointed out

Still, some pointed out there has been progress made compared to other wax figures of the performer, like the one above at the London Tussaud’s location, which was unveiled in 2004

In addition to looking completely inaccurate, many thought the depiction of it based off of her partying in a minidress, with her underwear partially exposed from the back, was disrespectful

In 2017, a wax figure of the singer was pulled for looking ‘whitewashed’

After briefly taking it ‘off the floor’ for ‘adjusting,’ TMZ reported that it returned to the museum after it altered to more closely approximate Beyonce’s skin tone.

Madame Tussauds New York released a statement, which read: ‘We love, respect, and enjoy a working relationship with Beyoncé… We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure, and she is [back] on display.’

Over the years, Madame Tussauds has a history of disappointing Beyoncé fans, starting with the London Tussaud’s location in 2004.

In addition to looking completely inaccurate, many thought the depiction of it based off of her partying in a minidress, with her underwear partially exposed from the back, was disrespectful.
