Tyson Fury spoke confidently about his potential future opponent Anthony Joshua.
Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is one of the most anticipated matches among boxing fans right now. It is known that the two have agreed to a deal for two matches to take place next year.
For the title unification to go smoothly, both Joshua and Fury must overcome the obstacles ahead. Specifically, the 2012 Olympic champion will have to defend the championship belt against Kubrat Pulev. Meanwhile, Fury needs to resolve questions about rematch terms with Deontay Wilder.
The long-awaited fight between two fighters is considered the best in the current heavyweight division.
Witnessing Fury destroy Wilder in the battle last February, experts said that currently only Joshua is strong enough to subdue the “clown” in the heavyweight division. However, this statement did not receive agreement from the WBC champion.
“Anthony Joshua will be the most comfortable opponent in my career, because his style of fighting is tailor-made for me. If I could create a perfect opponent, I would build it from a mold like Joshua,” Fury shared on Wow Hydrate.
Fury is not afraid of Joshua’s fighting style.
Lennox Lewis – former world champion also believes that the “clown” has a height advantage over his opponent. “I once said, it is difficult to compete with people who are taller than you. He is 206 cm tall, you won’t find any sparring partners that tall to get to know. Joshua will have to find a way to fix it, it will cost him a few rounds,” Lewis said.
Sharing the same opinion as Lewis, Tyson expressed concern for Joshua when facing an opponent who is slightly taller. According to Mike “Steel”, the WBA, WBO and IBF champion will have even more difficulties if he does not change his fighting style: “Joshua often reveals his intentions every time he attacks. It would be a disaster for him to fight someone like Fury.”
