Alejandro Garnacho is an emerging star who is making the football world sit up and take notice.
One of the reasons Alejandro Garnacho signed for Manchester United in 2020 was the temptation to follow in his idol Cristiano Ronaldo‘s footsteps.
Garnacho’s dream move went beyond expectations in 2022 when he reached the first team and played alongside Ronaldo, and even scored a first goal from the legendary number seven‘s assist.
Now with Ronaldo long gone, Garnacho is following his own path to Manchester United stardom, but one worry has always remained.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not stick around at Manchester United for the peak of his career. He left the club in 2009 to clinch his dream move to Real Madrid.
Ronaldo had huge success at Real, setting goalscoring records, and the worry will be that Garnacho is one day tempted to follow in his idol’s footsteps, again.
A report from Spanish outlet Defensa Central claim Real Madrid president Florentino Perez would want to sig Garnacho for his club.
It’s more of a long-term desire than an immediate play, and you have to wonder where Garnacho would fit into their star-studded attack, with Endrick and Kylian Mbappe set to join Vinicius and co.
So there is no reason to worry, especially as Garnacho has not been shy about his love of Manchester United.
Garnacho happy at United
Alejandro Garnacho was one of Manchester United’s heroes in the 4-3 FA Cup quarter-final win over Liverpool.
He created five chances and also laid on the assist for Amad to score a sensational 120th minute winner.
After the win, Garnacho had a very simple message he wanted to post on Instagram, five words which read: “I love this football club.”

Garnacho is under a long-term contract at Manchester United to 2028, and he will likely earn an improved deal with extra length and salary if he keeps on improving.
He is showing no signs at all that he could be tempted away to Madrid, already snubbing Spain to choose to represent Argentina at international level.
United can have reasonable expectation that despite Real’s desire, Garnacho will be spending his peak years at Old Trafford.
