Hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre is surrounded by rap royalty – including Eminem, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg – while receiving star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Dr. Dre was surrounded by rap royalty as he received his star on Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

As he received one of Tinseltown’s highest honors, the 59-year-old hip-hop mogul received support from Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar.

‘I’m incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years. Most of us have grown up together. And at nearly 60 years old, you’re still rocking with me, and I really appreciate that,’ he said.

The father-of-nine continued: ‘Thank you so much. Which is really good, because I’m nowhere near done. You better believe there’s a lot more coming.’

Snoop was among the speakers, who honored the superstar in front of the El Capitan Entertainment Centre.

Snoop hilariously thanked himself for Dr. Dre’s success, which prompted laughter from the crowd.

‘I want to thank me for listening to Dre over the years, and letting him be my teacher, mentor, brother, guardian, protector, and most importantly, a good friend,’ he said.

He proceeded to perform a special rap, which began with him calling his ‘brother from another mother.’

‘Rock in the sand on the beach he’d soon discover, now we deep cover blood brothers on a mission,’ he rapped. ‘House with no furniture, studio in the back with a little bit of food in the kitchen. Long Beach to Compton to Calabasas compositions.’

Snoop continued: ‘Pay attention. Quincy had Michael, they rewrote the cycle. So if Dre is Q and Mike is Snoop, we bang G thang motherf**king super group Death Row.’

The 16-time Grammy nominee continued: ‘Forever in out hearts now engraved on the Hollywood blocks/ With the Sinatras and Oscars/ Movie stars and mobsters.’

Other verses included Snoop calling out Dr. Dre for making him record every line ‘100 times’ and on they’re still ‘on the grind’ in the studio together after three decades of friendship.

Dre’s close friend and co-founder of Beats Electronics, Jimmy Lovine, also took the podium with a heartfelt speech.

‘Dr. Dre is the greatest ever. In fact, Billboard just named him the greatest hip-hop producer of all time! And I heard some of the other music he’s making right now — he’s coming for other genres,’ he began.

The entrepreneur went on to say: ‘Dre is the greatest partner, friend, ally you could possibly have. For all you people out there that are aspiring to get into entertainment, when you go to bed tonight, pray you meet a Dr. Dre.’

Dre’s star is the 2,775th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961.

While recently appearing on the podcast, This Life of Mine with James Corden, Dre revealed he’s suffered three strokes since his brain aneurysm in 2021.

For the occasion, she wore a strapless black corset, white frilly skirt and knee-high stockings

‘It’s just something that you can’t control that just happens, and during those two weeks, I had three strokes,’ he revealed. ‘I got up, and I went on about my day, and I thought that I could just lay down and take a nap.’

After they took him to an urgent care, Dre said he was ‘blacking out’ and ‘in and out of consciousness.’

‘I ended up in the ICU. I was there for two weeks,’ he recalled, noting that doctors told him that he had no idea ‘how lucky’ he was to be alive.

He later learned he had high blood pressure and is now ‘doing everything’ he can ‘to keep’ himself ‘healthy like lifting weights and running.
