Reports from Italy have claimed that Chelsea are prepared to bid big money to try and sign one player this summer.
According to Il Mattino, the Blues are ready to make a bid of £77m to try and bring in one top striker at the end of this season.
It has been reported for some time now that Chelsea are keen to address the striker position in the upcoming transfer window, after not yet spending big money on that role.
Chelsea want a striker
Despite a number of candidates being linked with the move, it has always been stated that one figure is at the top of their list.
Victor Osimhen hasn’t quite hit the heights of last season this time around, however he is still easily seen as one of the best strikers in the game right now.

His peers are still a big fan of his, with fellow striker Folarin Balogun describing him as ‘world-class’.
The new contract he signed earlier this season was essentially confirmation that he would be available at the end of the campaign, after a release clause was introduced into his contract.
However, that will likely not stop interested parties looking to sign him for a fee lower than that, and reports have stated that the Blues have a figure in mind that they would like to bid for him.
It was claimed that they are one of three sides prepared to pay £77m for the deal, with Arsenal and PSG also mentioned as interested parties.
Chelsea will be well aware that the likelihood of them completing a signing of this magnitude relies on them qualifying for some sort of European football at the end of this season.
One route which could be seen as their best bet for this right now is via the FA Cup, where they are currently two games at Wembley away from winning it.
However, they will also know that they need to likely beat both Manchester sides in order to complete that task.
