The actress announced the baby news on Sunday, March 10 on the Oscars red carpet – cradling her baby bump in a clingy black dress.

This comes amid months of pregnancy speculation.

The star, who married the professional baseball star three months ago in Tulum, showcased her pregnant belly in a clingy black dress.

Hudgens met the professional baseball player during a Zoom meditation session during lockdown.

Vanessa and Cole got engaged in February 2023.

She tied the knot with MLB player this past December, following three years of dating.

They wed in Tulum, Mexico, ten months after they got engaged.

The beauty’s confirmation of her pregnancy on Hollywood’s biggest night came just days after she recalled feeling ‘fat’ after ‘rude’ pregnancy speculation during her bachelorette party in October 2023 in Aspen, Colorado.

The High School Musical star discussed how the comments detracted from what was supposed to be ‘the happiest’ time in her life, on the latest episode of the She Pivots podcast, which dropped on March 6.

At the time the actress was enjoying a getaway with friends in Aspen, ahead of her wedding to now-husband Cole, but comments on the video she shared from the festivities primarily focused on whether she was pregnant.

‘I feel like I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,’ Austin Butler’s ex said.

‘I went out on my bachelorette and I posted video of me and there are all these comments that are like, “Oh my god. You’re pregnant.” And I’m like, that is so rude. I’m sorry, I don’t wear Spanx every day and I’m a real woman and have a real body.’

She added, ‘I’m literally celebrating one of the happiest times of my life, and you guys are just gonna make me feel fat. That’s great. Thanks.’

Hudgens went on to discuss ‘the four agreements’ women should stick by.

‘One of them is don’t make assumptions… in all aspects of life, but especially over other women’s bodies,’ she stated.

However Vanessa did not take too kindly to the speculation as she replied: ‘[eyeroll emoji] not pregnant so y’all can stop.’

There were plenty of commenters who jumped to the conclusion that she was expecting with the baseball player, as one wrote ‘omg she’s preggers’ and another said ‘she’s pregnant indeed.’

Others came to Vanessa’s defense as one said: ‘For those commenting about pregnancy is rude. We’re human! She’s happy so please don’t comment about her body if u don’t want anyone asking u.’
