Accidentally Gave Emma’s Oscar to J-Law Getty Image
The Oscars were a big night for nominees, performers, and, of course, the Letterboxd-viral folks in your circle. One of the nominees in question? Emma Stone, who took home the second Oscar for Best Actress in her career (!). During the memorable moment, Michelle Yeoh announced her win and accidentally passed the award to one of the four other presenters on stage, Jennifer Lawrence. After the Oscars, Michelle—who took home the coveted award for her role in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once at last year’s ceremony—got real about the awkward moment with an Instagram post congratulating the Poor Things star.

“Congratulations Emma!! I confused you, but I wanted to share that glorious moment of handing over Oscar to you together with your best friend Jennifer!!” Michelle wrote in her caption. “She reminded me of my Bae Jamie Lee Curtis ♥️✨ always there for each other!! 😘😘😘”
The pure honesty in confusing Emma with Jennifer? The super sweet message, complete with emojis? The comparison to her and Jamie Lee Curtis’ aspirational friendship? 🤌🤌🤌 Truly, zero notes for Michelle.
It seems like there was no bad blood between the Oscar winners, as Emma hugged Michelle backstage after her emotional acceptance speech.

Well, there’s that! It feels appropriate to leave you with this pic of my favorite nepo baby Jamie Lee Curtis, who immortalized her major meme with Michelle from last year’s Golden Globes on a T-shirt:
