Lewis Hamilton is a world-famous personality due to his performances in F1. Multiple people often disregard the dedication and commitment it takes to score impressive results in the sport. The Snooker World No. 1 Ronnie O’Sullivan recently claimed that he would’ve provided great competition to the seven-time world champion had he chosen a racing career in F1.
Lewis Hamilton has recently been struggling to put up impressive performances. Hence, Ronnie O’Sullivan believed that he could’ve challenged Hamilton in the sport.
The Snooker World No. 1 reckoned he would provide Hamilton with a ‘run for his money.’ O’Sullivan added that he was ‘nifty’ while driving a car and could’ve scored great results in F1.
I’d probably be challenging Lewis Hamilton, round a Formula 1 track, probably give him a good run for his money as well – because I’m a bit nifty in a car.Ronnie O’Sullivan said, as reported by @sportbible/Instagram.
Apart from this, The Snooker champion was not hesitant in declaring that he was ‘gifted’ to be a good driver. Hence, O’Sullivan was very confident regarding his chances of scoring a world championship at the pinnacle of motor racing against Hamilton. The Englishman did not mince his words while making such an absurd and shocking claim.
I think I was actually gifted to be a good driver. I’d have definitely been a world champion at some sort of motorsport. The 48-year-old mentioned that people’s fascination with him was due to his skills in Snooker. He opened up and asserted that he was a normal and introverted guy, not brash and loud.
I hope it’s just for the way I play snooker, If it’s for my personality, I’m a normal guy, I’m an introvert. I think people think I’ll be quite loud, quite brash, but I’m not that sort of person.Ronnie O’Sullivan noted.

Apart from this, the 48-year-old commented on the seven-time world champion’s character in F1. The Englishman pointed out that people needed a ‘strong character’ to get through what he had to go through while playing snooker. O’Sullivan highlighted top people from different sports such as Tyson Fury, Hamilton, and even Lionel Messi. He reckoned that these athletes required a ‘strong character’ to achieve the feats they have reached in their respective sports.
I think you have to be a strong character to get through what I have had to get through off the table, on the table, being in a competitive sport. Lewis Hamilton, Tyson Fury, must have a strong character. Lionel Messi must have a strong character.Ronnie O’Sullivan concluded.
Regardless of these claims, O’Sullivan will likely never get a chance to race in the world’s fastest one-seater racing category and Lewis Hamilton will continue to etch his name in the record books through his performances.
O’Sullivan would also stick to his expertise and continue to score achievements in Snooker for the time being. However, if a future opportunity arrives to try his hands at a racing car, he will most probably try it out.
