Marcus Rashford was seen leaving his McLaren and going to his favorite jewelry shop while Manchester United played Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Rashford was banned from European play for one match, so he wasn’t on the 22-person team that went to Istanbul for the important Group A match at Rams Park.
United lost Rashford, and after being ahead 3-1, they tied the game 3-3 in Turkey in front of a mad crowd. Bruno Fernandes scored an amazing goal that put his team two goals ahead. Alejandro Garnacho scored to put the team ahead. Before Scott McTominay’s goal, Hakim Ziyech had scored to tie the game, but Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu scored late to make it even.
Rashford, an English player, wasn’t there because he got a straight red card in Manchester United’s last Champions League game, which they lost 4–3 to Copenhagen, a Danish Superliga team.
Rashford was told to leave the field in the 42nd minute after he hit Elias Jelert. They were ahead 2-0 at the time, but that mistake cost them the game.
His team went to Turkey, so he had to stay home. The forward, who is 26 years old, looks like he’s having fun though.
He was seen getting into his £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail sports car at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday after leaving his “favorite” jeweler. He most likely was going home to watch Manchester United play.
In United’s loss to FC Copenhagen earlier this month, Rashford got a red card for accidentally stomping on Jelert. He couldn’t play in their Champions League group game against Galatasaray.
A lot of people were mad about the red card at the time of the event. As the forward tried to keep the ball safe, they said he couldn’t have known where his opponent was.
