“I can tell you now it was the worst royal engagement I ever did, the worst royal wedding I ever did because Harry was determined to keep the newspapers away from it as much as possible.

“Everything was done on long lenses. It was hopeless. And when they went past in the carriage, they turned away from me.

Harry and Meghan’s relationship is full of the unexpected says Royal expertANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

It comes after Harry and Meghan celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.

Speaking to Fabulous, Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward said the Duke of Sus𝑠e𝑥 may have treated Meghan to a jewellery piece for the occasion.

She said: “I feel certain that he will buy her a little piece of jewellery.”

The expert also believed the couple might have celebrated this year in a low-key fashion.

So far as their marriage is concerned, certainly, so far as any public optics are concerned, it seems to me that they seem very well matched

“I think that Meghan will still want to make a big deal of it because there’s so much focus on their state of their marriage,” Ingrid added.

“I don’t think they’ll do anything in public but I would have thought in private they might make just a sort of romantic gesture to each other.

“Harry’s very, very much in love with Meghan.

“Whatever else we say about him, he loves her very much and I think he’d want to do anything to make her happy.”

‘WELL MATCHED’

Meanwhile, fellow royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said the duke and duchess appear to be a match for each other.

He told The Sun: “All I can say is that the optics [of their marriage] as far as I can see seem fine.

“The two seem very well matched now, whether or not that’s a favorable comment depends, of course, on your view of them.

“They have their fans. They’ve also now got quite a few activities, and Megan launching American Riviera Orchard.

“And of course, she has a programme she’s doing for Netflix and Cochrane entertainments, and so forth.

“Harry, with his series on Polo. The trip to Nigeria, which as a private visit, certainly had the trappings of a sort of pro royal trip, but it went well.

“So far as their marriage is concerned, certainly, so far as any public optics are concerned, it seems to me that they seem very well matched.”

Meghan and Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018 in front of 600 guests at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

It’s estimated that the occasion cost £32million – covering everything from the cost of security and catering to Meghan’s stunning dress.

Watching on was a star-studded crowd of hundreds including the Clooneys, the Beckhams and Elton John – who performed at the lunchtime’s reception.

A gospel choir sang American soul singer Ben E. Kings 1960s hit Stand By Me to the couple, who had earlier been given their new titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥.

And they were later able to meet the rapturous crowds of more than 100,000 people as they were taken through Windsor in a carriage.

MEGHAN MARKLE’S STUNNING GIVENCHY WEDDING DRESS

Meghan Markle stunned onlookers as she arrived at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, ahead of her nuptials to Prince Harry, in a stunning bespoke gown by Givenchy, created by British designer Clare Waight Keller.

The former Suits actress chose to work with Clare Waight Keller “for her timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour”.

Meghan wanted to “highlight the success of a leading British talent who has now served as the creative head of three globally influential fashion houses – Pringle of Scotland, Chloé, and now Givenchy”.

Meghan and Clare worked closely together on the design, which featured a graphic open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises Meghan’s slender waist.
