Is Portia Secretly Hoping Curtis’ New Business Venture Fails?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is being the doting and supportive wife that she knows her husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), needs right now.

But on the inside, rumor has it she’s melting down a bit. When Curtis told Portia of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) plans to expand Aurora Media — and how he wanted him to be a part of that expansion — she was more floored than she admitted at the time.

On the spot, her true feelings started to peek out; she was afraid of losing him. Feeling like she only just really got him back, Portia doesn’t seem to want to share Curtis’ time with anyone else. But we suspect there is more to her apprehension about Curtis reentering the workforce. What gives, Portia?

General Hospital Spoilers — Shots Fired

When Curtis was shot, Portia was almost certain for a brief time that she may have lost her husband for good — and that was on the heels of already thinking she’d lost him on their wedding night when he found out she’d kept Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity a secret all her life.

Rebounding from that is bound to be a rocky road for everyone involved, but it’s possible that Portia just can’t believe how quickly Curtis has decided he’s ready for a new lease on life and a journey that really doesn’t include her very much. That’s a big change from the space they’ve been living in since he was shot.

GH Spoilers – Say The Savoy Is Fading To Black

Curtis doesn’t appear to be interested in selling The Savoy, but he’s not keen on going back to the nightclub life either. If he were to ask Portia, she’d likely admit she’s not too disappointed in that decision.

After all, that industry does come with more risk than working for someone like Drew does. Still, it wasn’t that long ago that they all thought Curtis would be paralyzed forever.

Portia may have gotten used to the idea of being the breadwinner and having him home every night when she walked through the door. Now, that’s about to change, and she seems rather uncomfortable with it.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ready, Set, Go!

Curtis is more than eager to get started with this new business venture, and he loves the idea of working with Drew.

Portia can’t really balk at that. Other than that pesky ex-con thing Drew has going for him now, he’s a stand-up guy who isn’t likely to bring any trouble Curtis’ way.

How long will it be until Portia’s hidden feelings about Curtis returning to work — and giving his attention to anything but her — come out in more noticeable ways that he’ll pick up on?

What do you think is holding her back from fully supporting his new career? Share your thoughts with us and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
