The wife of Patrick Mahomes discusses their harrowing hospital visit due to their son’s peanut allergy.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife, Brittany, have two children together, and their youngest, Bronze, was the one who went to the emergency room.

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has shared that the couple found out their son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III has a peanut allergy, which led to an emergency room visit for the eight-month-old infant.

Despite describing the trip as “very scary and frantic,” she did reassure her social media followers with a photograph of her baby boy being back in her arms. In the image, Bronze is cradled by her and holding onto his bottle.

She states that they did not previously know that Bronze is “highly, highly allergic to peanuts.” Having an allergy to that particular legume is another thing he shares with his father.

The Chiefs star found out during the summer of 2020 that he is allergic to “most nuts.” However, his discovery came through allergy testing while overhauling his diet, as he revealed in an interview with Men’s Health.

According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a 2017 study shows that almost 2.5 percent of children across the United States could have a peanut allergy. Instances in infants are also up 21 percent since 2010.

Aside from allergies, Bronze’s birth also came with complications, as Brittany has previously revealed. Earlier this year, she was asked and shared her labor and delivery stories during an Instagram Q&A.

After recalling giving birth to her daughter, Sterling, and how that was relatively straightforward despite taking some time, she detailed how her son came into the world. “Got induced at 39 weeks 3 days,” she wrote in the caption in her IG story. “Water partially broke that morning anyways.

Brittany and Patrick also have a young daughter, Sterling, together

“By 12 pm Dr. fully broke the rest of my water was already dilated to a 4 & started pitocin. Got the epidural at 1:30ish. Started pushing at 5pm. Pushed for 7 min, and he was here.”

Brittany added: “His cord was wrapped around his neck 2 times, and thankfully didn’t effect [sic] anything, and he was fine,” she concluded the retelling.

In the same Q&A, she admitted Bronze was not a planned pregnancy. “Happened on our wedding night,” Brittany candidly recalls. The high school sweethearts married on March 12, 2022, at a ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.

Brittany has previously attested that Patrick Mahomes is “the best father ever,” in an interview with People.

“He has a soft spot, but I think he’s done such an amazing job at balancing his work life and his at-home life, and I think he’s really switched around his priorities and figured it out,” she said.

He is equally gushing of her. “I have a great wife. I think that helps out a ton,” the quarterback said at the premiere of his Netflix docuseries, “Quarterback.” “She helps me out a ton by taking stuff off my plate.”
