Lewis Hamilton is one of the biggest names in Formula 1. The British driver has achieved stellar success over the course of his racing career. Certainly, the seven-time world champion has become an inspiration for millions of fans across the world. Now, Hamilton revealed that two people who were his own inspiration.
The British driver was part of a promotional event for Mercedes F1 partner, Petronas. The 38-year-old claimed that there were two individuals who have inspired him throughout his life. Hamilton mentioned that he always admired his father Anthony for his incredible work ethic. Anthony Hamilton even worked four jobs at one point to keep his son’s racing dream alive. Lewis Hamilton believes that he managed to take up his dad’s work ethic.
For me, there’s two people who inspired me, my father was always my hero. Seeing him get up everyday and really work. His work ethic is something that I adapted and that’s what I have used today.

The seven-time world champion named F1 legend Ayrton Senna as his second inspiration. Hamilton recalled the time of his childhood when he used to watch the Brazilian win at the pinnacle of motorsport. The Briton claimed that Senna showed him that anything is possible. A message that Hamilton has tried to pass on to the new generation.
And then it was Ayrton Senna for me. I think I was four or five years old when I started watching him. And I felt like he showed me what is possible.
Lewis Hamilton having a disastrous end to 2023
Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have struggled with Formula 1’s ground-effect era. The Silver Arrows have failed to make a car capable of matching the dominant Red Bulls. Nevertheless, the seven-time world champion has scored multiple podiums this season. Although, the recent rounds have been rough for the Brackley-based team.

The 38-year-old was disqualified from the United States GP alongside Charles Leclerc. The two drivers were found to have breached the maximum wear limit on the floor plank of their respective cars. Moreover, the Brazilian GP was a nightmare for Mercedes as both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell had a nightmare weekend.
Lewis Hamilton has already set his eyes on 2024. The seven-time world champion is looking forward to ditching the woeful Mercedes W14 as soon as the season ends in Abu Dhabi. The Silver Arrows have made it clear that their 2024 challenger would be radically different from its predecessor. Although, it remains to be seen how Hamilton will perform in the remaining two rounds of the 2023 season.
