Sylvester Stallone shares kiss with wife Jennifer Flavin near iconic ‘Rocky Steps’ at Philadelphia Museum Of Art… during trip with brother Frank Stallone

Sylvester Stallone returned to a set of steps in Philadelphia that helped make him and his Rocky character an important part of Hollywood history.

On Wednesday, the legendary actor stopped by the Philadelphia Museum Of Art with his wife Jennifer Flavin and brother Frank Stallone.

Movie buffs will recall that the steps leading up to the museum were the backdrop of two classic scenes in Rocky (1976), where Stallone’s Rocky Balboa made his iconic jogs while training for his fight with Apollo Creed.

To mark the moment 47 years after shooting the scenes, the trio posed at the famous site, including one where Sylvester and his wife share a passionate kiss.

‘On our way back to Florida we stopped by the steps of the [Philadelphia] Art Museum Steps, which my brother put on the map with Rocky 47 yrs ago,’ Frank Stallone, 73, wrote in the caption.

Sweet return: Sylvester Stallone, 77, and his wife Jennifer Flavin, 55, shared a kiss at the top of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum Of Art, where Stallone’s Rocky Balboa made his iconic jog during boxing training for Rocky (1976)

Dressed in black pants with a matching button-down shirt and sneakers, Sylvester, 77, had his left arm wrapped around his wife’s waist as he leaned in for the smooch.

Flavin, 55, would also follow suit with a casual ensemble dressed in faded blue jeans, a black sweater over a white T-shirt and white sneakers.

The mother-of-three had her long locks pulled up into a bun with some stands of hair left out to frame her face.

Frank would also remind his followers that the stairs were the backdrop to ‘a Fourth of July concert that he did in 1985 for over a 100 thousand people with The Beach Boys.’

The musician and actor shared how the steps are ‘very familiar to me for I lived across the street.’

The Far from Over star went on to share how they had ‘a wonderful day of memories’ while visiting the museum that’s also home to a statue of Rocky just north of the base of steps that was permanently installed in 2006.

‘We have truly been blessed and it was great to share the day with my brothers wife Jennifer as well. #philadelphia #philadelphiaartmuseum #rocky.’

‘Love you Frank! I love traveling with you, and never laughed harder!!,’ Flavin wrote in the comments.

They were joined by Sylvester’s brother Frank Stallone, who shared the photos to Instagram

For the other pictures in the post, the two brothers smiled when they posed together as Frank had his arm around Sylvester.

In a nod to the boxing theme of Rocky, the Stallone boys both held up their fists for a photo, although Sylvester directed one of his towards Frank’s jaw.

Days earlier, the trio attended the Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada together for the premiere of a documentary about the Rocky and Rambo star for Netflix called ‘Sly.’

Frank documented their trip to Toronto on Instagram, which included a photo of the brothers flying on a plane heading to Philadelphia.

Monumental: The steps leading to the Philadelphia Museum Of Art were apart of two classic moments in Rocky; the first being when he struggled to make it up the steps at the beginning of training for his fight with Apollo Creed

‘Yo Adrian, I did it’: The second classic Rocky moment was when all his hard training paid off and he could now make it up the steps with ease

Iconic: Several locations featured in the film, such as the so-called Rocky Steps at the museum, are now considered cultural landmarks; in 2006 the steps were forever recognized with the erection of a Rocky statue

Sly premiere: Frank revealed the trio had been at the Toronto  International Film Festival for the premiere of the upcoming Netflix documentary Sly

Heading to Philly: Frank Stallone also shared a shot of the two brothers during the flight from Toronto to Philadelphia, before ultimately heading back home to Florida

Sylvester Stallone was still a struggling actor and writer before the release of Rocky in December 1976.

In a bold move during negotiations for the selling of the script, Stallone refused to allow the film to be made without him in the lead role, which United Artists ultimately agreed to do.

The deal proved to be a winning combination as Rocky, and its rags to riches American Dream theme, became a huge hit en route to becoming the highest-grossing film of 1976, earning more than $225 million at the worldwide box office against a budget of just $960,000.

Several locations featured in the film, such as the so-called Rocky Steps, are now considered cultural landmarks.

In 2006, the Library of Congress selected Rocky for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being ‘culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.’
