Mariah Carey’s daughter Monroe Cannon is swiftly following in her mum’s musical footsteps.

Last Friday, the Christmas singing icon and her 12-year-old mini-me daughter performed at a sold-out holiday concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, according to US media. Carey, 54, was recently in the news for her rumoured split from her boyfriend of seven years, Bryan Tanaka, 40, as reported in various publications, though it’s yet to be confirmed.

Carey shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon. The “All I Want for Christmas is You” songstress and her daughter Roe (Monroe’s nickname) sang “Jesus Born on This Day” while wearing stunning white gowns.

Last Friday, Carey and Cannon took to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles wearing coordinated sparkly white dresses that looked nothing short of angelic. The pair both opted to leave their hair naturally wavy and curly.

Carey was joined by her twins Monroe and Moroccan Cannon for a Christmas campaign she launched in October. The adorable photo shoot was for a partnership with clothing brand The Children’s Place.

For a girls’ night out in May, Carey and her daughter stepped out in style. Carey wore head-to-toe Burberry, while Monroe kept it comfy with an oversized pink tee tucked into white bottoms.

4. Ski bunnies, January 2023

“Matching ensems on the slopes!” Carey captioned her post on Instagram. During their winter skiing holiday, Carey and her daughter twinned in matching pink ski jackets and black trousers. Monroe’s brother Moroccan was also pictured wearing a kids’ black quilted Moncler puffer jacket, which retails for about US$650.

It seems it’s not just a love of music that Cannon has inherited from her singer mum! Carey is known for her passion for fashion and now Cannon might be taking a keen interest too. On Christmas Eve last year, they were photographed wearing matching Burberry outfits while carrying massive Prada shopping bags.

6. Their first-ever duet in princess gowns, December 2022

In December 2022, Carey introduced “Ms. Monroe” to the world during a CBS broadcast featuring the mother-daughter duo’s debut musical performance together. They wore princess-like pouffy white gowns for the special occasion.
