The very mischievous toddler disasters: Cheeky kids covered head to toe in mess

Toddlers making a mess

Every mum and dad knows when your toddler is quiet for even just a minute, they are most likely up to no good.

The parents of these cheeky boys and girls found themselves confronted by quite the crime scene when they went looking for their kids who, although little, managed to make a huge mess.

A mess that no doubt took hours to clean – and won’t be easily forgotten.

A chocolatey smile

Parenting influencer Sian shared a hilarious video of her toddler Holly breaking into the snack pantry – and let’s just say the little girl got stuck into exactly what she was looking for.

“What have you done?” said Sian.

Holly turned around to reveal her face is smothered with chocolate spread.

Then, she plunged her hand back into the jar and brought it back up to her mouth so she could lick her enrobed fingers.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” Sian wrote in the comments.

Commenters loved her mischievous antics.

“She took her opportunity and ran with it,” said one.

“This is the daily reminder to take my birth control,” wrote another commenter.

Another said, “My mum found me like this once except I was about 14.”

In a later comment, Sian wrote, “Honestly I wasn’t even mad at her, she was living her best life.”

Feeling a little blue

US mum Ali has shared a “terrifying” video to TikTok as she walked in on a disastrous scene caused by her young daughter, Kimber.

“Kimber,” she says with an exasperated sigh, “What did you do?”

“That!”, the toddler pointed at the blue mess.

Not only was the toddler covered head to toe in blue food colouring, but also the cot, the pillows, the clothes pulled out of the closet, and even her baby sister couldn’t escape the mess.

Parents in the comments were sympathetic.

“Mum…you did good…breathe…news at 11 didn’t include you…they are still alive… this will be funny later,” one assured the mum.

“I’d be crying”, commented another. “It’s truly wild what chaos they can unleash while totally silent.”

“Out of every color WHY IS IT ALWAYS BLUE,” said another.

“What is it? I have to make sure I never have whatever it is in my house,” a fellow parent asked. “Food colouring!” replied Ali.

Others commenters defended the mum after several asked, “Where were you when this happened?”

“People who are judging in the comments, maybe the mum was in the restroom, maybe she was doing the laundry, cooking, making appointments etc,” wrote one commenter.

“For people saying to watch kids better… this probably happened in 2.5 seconds,” said another.

“Kids can legitimately do this in a matter of a few minutes if not seconds. It’s terrifying,” declared a third.

Making snow angels in sugar

Aussie mum Indy Clinton was in shock when she returned from leaving her toddler son alone for five minutes. The youngster he had gotten into the pantry, dumped sugar all over the floor and was leisurely lying in it.

“Oh…my…god..” she said as she took in the mess.

As she asked him what he was doing, he took the opportunity to shamelessly pour more sugar from the packet onto the floor.

Commenters thought the toddler’s actions were hilarious.

“LMAO WHEN HE POURS MORE,” wrote one commenter.

“Damn that’s why I don’t want kids,” said another.

“(To be honest) I’ve always wanted to do snow fairy’s in flour so I get it. I’m feeling inspired,” said one commenter.

‘I screamed his name in terror’

When your kids go quiet for a minute, or even a second, you think the worst.

For one mum however, this silence was extra terrifying after she walked into her kitchen to find the floor covered in what looked like smeared blood, and her toddler nowhere to be found.

Kali from the US, posted a video to TikTok (@thatchipperbunch) showing the mess she found saying, “I just about had a heart attack. My toddler was not screaming or crying so I was like ‘Where is he? What is happening?’. I screamed his name in terror and he came running.”

However, it all began to make sense when the two-year-old walked into the room holding a bottle of red colouring.

The mess he made and the red footprints all over the floor were just colouring and thankfully not what the mum initially thought – blood.

While many followers ere amused by the video, they also felt bad for the mum who had clearly been given quite the scare.

“Your toddler said ‘Let’s give mummy a heart attack today’,” one commented on the video.

Another said, “My baby did this to me once with strawberry syrup. I cried.”

Fifi Box and daughter covered in makeup

Mum Fifi Box took to her Instagram account yesterday to upload some adorable snaps of youngest daughter Daisy after she raided her mum’s lippie.

“What’s left of my makeup is being destroyed on a daily basis at the moment but I just love her enthusiasm,” she wrote.

“And how can I get annoyed at this face. Even Elsa didn’t escape a full trout pout of lipstick today!” she continued, referencing an Elsa doll from the movie franchise Frozen.

And it seems even mum got a makeover.

While this little girl’s face may look like a disaster, her mum was glad to learn the paint on her face was body paint and easily removable.

Mum Millie walked in on her daughter completely covered in all different colours of paint from head to toe while playing independently at home.

She uploaded the photo to her Twitter with the caption, “trying her hand at face (and body) paint” leaving followers in hysterics.

“A portrait artist in the making me thinks?” one person commented. Another said, “I wouldn’t want the job of washing that off.”

Mum-of-two Gina was shocked when she discovered her cheeky three-year-old daughter, Emily covered her 18-month brother Ethan in thick and sticky peanut butter.

We all know how good cake tastes, so we understand how excited this little one was to get it in his mouth (and all over his body).

US mum Wendy Pryce felt defeated after discovering her daughters, Jamie, 4, and Morgan, 3, had slathered their entire head and hair in Desitin (Sudocream) – a barrier nappy cream.

“Please any mamas have tips for removing DESITIN from Hair?” Pryce wrote, attaching a picture of the girls covered head to toe in the cream on a Facebook Page.

Toddlers love to get their hands into their parents possessions and have a play with anything that isn’t classified as a toy.

This is exactly what this cheeky boy did with his mum’s foundation – painting his whole face with a bottle of the expensive product.

Mum Olwethu uploaded the picture to Twitter with the caption, “My son’s a makeup artist. Willing to relocate.”

A mum-of-three was left with quite the clean up after her three troublesome toddlers teamed up to cover one of their siblings in marker.

Wasn’t just this little girl’s face that fell victim to her markers.

What’s worse than finding one of your kids covered in permanent market? Two of your kids!

Child covered in Sudocrem.

Dublin mum Alba McGuinness has fallen victim to Sudocrem sharing a short clip of her daughter Evie covered head to toe in the cream, as well as having covered the cot and sheets with it.

“Accidentally left a giant tub of Sudocrem in Evie’s bedroom and now I’m paying the price for it,” said the mum alongside the video online.

Baby covered in Vaseline

A mum posted a TikTok video where she can be seen using the empty Vaseline container to scrape the excess Vaseline from this cheeky baby’s hair, while the baby looks into the camera helplessly.

Is there anything harder than cleaning permanent marker off a toddler’s face?
