Angelina Jolie recounts the truth about Zahara being born in tragic circumstances in Ethiopia

Angelina Jolie is not only a famous actress, but also a devoted mother of six children, three of whom are adopted from different countries. One of them is Zahara Jolie-Pitt, who was born in Ethiopia and adopted by Jolie when she was six months old.

In a recent interview, Jolie recounted the truth about Zahara’s tragic birth circumstances and how they inspired her to help other children in need.

Jolie said that she first learned about Zahara’s situation from an orphanage in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, where she was suffering from malnutrition, dehydration, and a life-threatening infection.

She said that Zahara’s biological mother had died of AIDS shortly after giving birth, and that her father was unknown.

Jolie said that she felt an instant connection with Zahara and decided to adopt her, despite the challenges and risks involved.

Jolie said that Zahara’s adoption was a blessing for both of them, as they formed a strong bond and learned from each other’s cultures and backgrounds.

She said that Zahara, who is now 15 years old, is an extraordinary young woman who is proud of her Ethiopian heritage and speaks Amharic fluently.

She also said that Zahara is passionate about humanitarian issues and wants to make a difference in the world.

Jolie said that Zahara’s story motivated her to support various causes in Ethiopia and other African countries, such as education, health, and women’s rights.

She said that she has funded efforts to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis in Ethiopia for over a decade through the Zahara Program, named after her daughter.

She also said that she and Zahara have visited Ethiopia several times to meet with local leaders, activists, and communities, and to learn more about the country’s history and culture.

Jolie said that she hopes that Zahara’s story will inspire others to adopt children from different countries and backgrounds, and to help them overcome their challenges and realize their potential.

She said that she is grateful for Zahara and her other children, who have enriched her life and taught her valuable lessons.

She said that she loves them all unconditionally and considers them her greatest achievements.
