The film follows Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman who is brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Dafoe), as per IMDb.

It was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos for Searchlight Pictures.

Being the bonafide queen of Easter eggs, fans of Swift speculated that her appearance may be confirmation that her film directorial debut isn’t far off.

Last year, Variety reported that Swift would be directing a movie for Searchlight based on a script she wrote.

She added: ‘Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.

‘Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.’
