Marvel’s shift in the MCU portrays Harry Styles’ character as more sympathetic, similar to how Loki was humanized.
Eros is an Eternal who’s born on Titan (a moon of Saturn). He loves “life, adventure, and romance,” earning him the nickname “Knave of Hearts.” Starfox (also known as Eros) was introduced to audiences in the first post-credit scene after the Eternals film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Harry Styles’ character undergoes a narrative treatment similar to God of Mischief. It means that the MCU shifted from a traditional villainous portrayal of the character to a more sympathetic characterization.

Marvel Transforms Harry Styles’ Titan into a Sympathetic God
After the recent MCU debut of Starfox (Harry Styles) in Chloé Zhao’s Eternals (2021), efforts were made to bring Starfox back to prominence in the comics.
Starfox in the comics
It comes in the comic book event, A.X.E. Judgment Day, within one-shot A.X.E.: Starfox #1. It’s written by Kieron Gillen, illustrated by Daniele Di Nicuolo, colored by Frank William, and lettered by Joe Sabino.
In comics, Gillen smartly explores Starfox’s concerns about the misuse of his powers. He also accentuated his adept skills as an empathic diplomat. When Iron Man enlisted Starfox for a space adventure, it shows that his empathic and diplomatic skills are valued and could be a helping hand.

Is Starfox a Good Guy?
Harry Styles as Starfox in Eternals
In the comics’ storyline, Starfox is associated with the Avengers and acts as an ally to Mar-Vell. Comic readers know who Thanos is — a major Marvel antagonist driven by nihilistic obsession. Meanwhile, his younger brother Eros, aka Starfox, is a carefree hedonist, creating a balance against the “Mad Titan’s” dark nature.
Eros was stationed on Titan, just like how Eternals were stationed on Earth. But he gave up everything when he left the planet. Even though he appeared as a good guy. But he had his own quirks.
He has an uneasy relationship with his brother Thanos—especially after one of Thanos’s attacks, which led to their mother’s (Sui-San) death. In the comics, Eros fought alongside the Avengers against his brother Thanos. That’s how he earned the codename Starfox.
Meanwhile, Starfox is (technically) a hero who has the ability to create infatuation and strong bonds. He also lives a hedonistic lifestyle that sometimes creates troubles for his own.
