Brilliant Nigerian lady bags 4.90/5.00 first-class in Accounting, wins 9 awards as best graduating student

A brilliant lady named Islamiyyah Abdulateef has bagged an Accounting degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria with an outstanding 4.90/5.00 cumulative grade point. She also won nine awards as the best graduating student.

Islamiyahh bagged her bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting at Obafemi Awolowo University. She shared her achievements on Linkedin noting that she completed her first degree with first class honors.

She obtained the degree with an outstanding 4.90 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point which earned her the award of the overall best graduating female student in the university.

”I’m thrilled to share with you, a milestone I’ve achieved. I officially graduated from the department of Management and Accounting, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife during the 47th convocation with first class honours (4.90 CGPA),” she said.

Listing her accomplishments, Islamiyyah stated that she won the award of the best-graduating student of the university’s  Department of Management and Accounting. She was the best-graduating student in the university’s Faculty of Administration.

She was also the best student with an average score in Taxation 1 and 2 and the best graduating female student with the highest cumulative grade point average in the university.

Islamiyyah said the academic journey was challenging but she is glad that the hard work, resilience, and dedication paid off in the end. She mentioned that while a student, she started and completed her Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria examinations,

She mentioned that she tutored at the Resolution Professional Center, was a member of The Tax Club OAU, and was also a tax manager at the Students’ Professional Bureau of Accountancy, OAU.

Islamiyyah said her achievement is a confirmation that if one puts their mind to something and is prayerful about it, one can do it thanking everyone who believed in her. She appreciated the friends and families who supported her while in the university.
