The singer admitted that she asked rapper Cardi B, who makes her acting debut in the film and used to work in a strip club before her fame, for advice.
Jennifer joked that she told the star that learning how to do pole is ‘really hard’, to which Cardi said: ‘I know, I’m really good at it. But it took her years to learn, years to master it.’
The singer also revealed that was left ‘bruised head-to-toe with her core on fire’ during her intensive pole dancing lessons, which she had to pick up in just six weeks.
Cardi and JLo appear alongside Keke Palmer, 26, Constance Wu, 37, and Lili Reinhart, 22, Lizzo, 31, and Julia Stiles, 38, in the provocative film Hustlers, which premieres September 13.
