Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid is one of many who support Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s relationship.
Following Kansas City’s 27-17 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, Reid told PEOPLE how happy he is that the 12-time Grammy-winning pop star continues to show up for his team. Reid also vouched for his Super Bowl-winning tight end, saying Swift has a ‘great guy’ in Kelce.
‘Listen, I’m a big fan so I’m glad she was here and I hope she enjoyed it,’ Reid shared. ‘She’s got a great guy she’s dating right now, so I’m happy for both of them.’
Reid has been an advocate for the power couple since they began dating earlier this year. Having known both Swift and Kelce before they came together, Reid joked about setting them up in an interview with Outkick in October.
‘I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying,’ Reid said

‘I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad,’ Reid said of Swift. ‘She’s a good girl, she’s into it, we’re glad she’s here.’
While her presence at games has evidently helped both the Chiefs and NFL’s social media following and viewership, Swift attends games to support Kelce and could care less about the exposure.
‘I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,’ Swift said in her TIME 2023 Person of the Year interview. ‘There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the-camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.’
‘I’m just there to support Travis,’ she added, ‘I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p***ing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.’
With her appearance on Sunday, Swift has now gone to seven of the Chiefs’ games this season. Swift cheered on enthusiastically from the suites as Kelce caught five receptions for 28 yards.
The victory helped Kansas City snap a two-game losing streak and improve to a 9-5 record while remaining on top of the AFC West.
